First Responder Therapy in California
You spend your working life responding to other people’s hardest moments. Therapy offers room to talk about what the job has asked of you—and what you need in your own life.
Jill Peeler, LMFT, provides trauma therapy for first responders and public safety professionals, with in-person appointments in Novato and telehealth throughout California.
Support for what the job carries home
Difficult calls, cumulative stress, grief, anxiety, burnout, and career transitions can affect sleep, relationships, and how you feel between shifts. You do not need to wait for a crisis or arrive knowing exactly what to say.
Together, you and Jill can discuss what has been happening, identify your goals, and consider an approach that fits your needs. Treatment may include EMDR and other approaches, based on your situation and clinical assessment.
A clinician familiar with public safety
Jill’s experience includes embedded clinical work with California Highway Patrol offices, Novato Police Department, Novato Fire Protection District, and Tiburon Fire Protection District. That experience informs her understanding of the work, while leaving space for your individual story.
Novato office and California telehealth
Meet in person at 1683 Novato Blvd, Suite 1B, Novato, CA 94947, or ask about online therapy while you are located in California. Telehealth can offer access beyond the Bay Area; Jill will discuss whether it fits your needs.
